Egyptian Cabinet

This piece was inspired whist we were working in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

The cabinet is an equilateral triangle shape in plan, and there is three equilateral triangles making up the whole. Each of the three facades has the same marquetry design, hand cut from various veneers.

The cabinet opens by pushing on any of the three corners and the triangle shapes spin simultaneously to reveal the interior.
